Joe Mendonsa took advantage of Open Mic's in 2005 in Sacramento, CA, and took off running with his quick wit and charm. P.H.A.T. Joe uses a unique style of story telling to add a special flare to his comedy. His unusual ethnic background or backgrounds leave the audience in aw as Joe describes details of his upbringing in a culturally diverse neighborhood, his experiences as a single parent, and his battle with life in general. P.H.A.T. Joe sets himself apart from other comics as he truly has his own style combining weight and ethnic differences with stereotypes that only exist while he is on stage. Joe sucks the audience in as he tells his point of view on standard ways of living and how they aren't exactly "normal". P.H.A.T. Joe is a believable character who is not a character but simply that guy we all grew up with and wondered; "how or where do you come up with the things that come out of your mouth." P.H.A.T. Joe is a delight to see and hear as he makes light of things that are usually not seen as positive. From being overweight to the difficulties of dating; Joe can make anyone believe that "it's not so bad, it can always be worse." |
